IELTS ,TEFL Speaking test format<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let’s take a closer look at the IELTS Speaking test format and what you can expect to be asked within your speaking test.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The IELTS Speaking test, for both General Training and Academic, is split into 3 parts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part 1: Introduction and questions on familiar topics <\/h6>\n\n\n\n

The examiner will ask you general questions about yourself and a range of familiar topics, such as home, family, work, studies and interests. This part usually lasts between 4 and 5 minutes.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part 2: Individual long turn <\/h6>\n\n\n\n

You\n will be given a card which asks you to talk about a topic. You will \nhave 1 minute to prepare before speaking for up to 2 minutes. The \nexaminer will then ask one or two questions on the same topic to finish \nthis part of the test. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part 3: Two-way discussion <\/h6>\n\n\n\n
